Occupational Therapy (OT) - is a
type of health-care treatment designed to improve self-help skills and adaptive
behaviour for people who have conditions that are mentally, physically,
developmental or emotionally disabling. Services typically include customized
treatment programs aimed at improving abilities to carry out the activities of
daily living; evaluation of home and job environments and recommendations on
adaptation; recommendations and training in the use of adaptive equipment;
and/or guidance to family members and caregivers.
